I come to this work from an expansive career working for issue advocacy non-profits based in Washington, DC. Giving up this career path has been a remarkable journey of honoring my wishes and needs around the type of work I want to pursue, and trusting the path my intuition and natural talents were powerfully directing me towards.
My current goals include supporting women in labor through my Birth Doula practice and working toward establishing a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) practice, which is a certification level provided to skilled, professional independent midwifery practitioners by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) allowing me to focus on birth in home settings as a Midwife.
My other interest including sewing clothes and costumes. I am also fluent in both French and German and have spent time living abroad though I currently reside in Washington, DC.
